FactSet is looking for Systems Engineer with hands-on experience in deploying and administering Microsoft Windows Servers, Citrix, and AWS. The Systems Engineer will work closely with the various teams throughout the company, including Enterprise Hosting, IT Operations, Storage, Network Engineering to support a variety of customer infrastructure across multiple data centers globally. The successful candidate will have strong technical acumen with a deep knowledge of the fundamentals of Citrix, Windows Operating Systems and Cloud Technologies.

Platform Infrastructure and Engineering Business Unit (PIE): The Platform Infrastructure and Engineering Business Unit (PIE) at FactSet is responsible for providing the foundational platforms and infrastructure crucial for enabling all other business units within the organization. PIE plays a critical role in building and maintaining the necessary tools, applications, and various infrastructure components such as databases, network, computation, and storage platforms. This pioneering unit ensures that FactSet's technological backbone is robust, resilient, and capable of supporting the organization's operational and strategic objectives.

Data Platform Engineering Team: Operating as a component of the PIE unit, the Data Platform Engineering Team manages a myriad of data platforms including relational databases such as MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle, and NoSQL databases such as Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis, Memcached, DynamoDB, Kafka, and Zookeeper. It also oversees datalakes and warehouses such as Dremio, Snowflake, Redshift, and Databricks. This expert team is not only charged with storing and managing data across the organization, but it also builds and maintains in-house tools designed to enhance schema management, connection management, and application-database integration. With its operations extending across multiple data centers and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, the Data Platform Engineering Team is indispensable for shaping FactSet's data management capabilities.

Requirements:

• 4+ years supporting PostgreSQL databases in a high volume mission critical environment
• Strong experience in optimizing and performance tuning of PostgreSQL databases including drill-down analysis
• Installation and configuration of PostgreSQL Server
• Strong Database upgrade experience is must
• Good knowledge on PostgreSQL Securities and Versions
• Strong understanding of AWS services like RDS,EC2 etc.
• Hands-on experience in configuring and supporting high availability solutions
• Extraordinary experience administering multi-terabyte databases
• Proficiency with pgsql, SQL, Shell/Python
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across multiple business and technical teams
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, tight deadline delivery timeline
• Aptitude to independently learn new technologies
• Rotational On-call and weekend maintenance activities

Nice to have skills:

• Terraform knowledge
• SQL server, MySQL or Oracle administration is a plus
