 What do you contribute? You will be manage and build state of the art automation and web applications. You will be solving complex technical problems that span multiple areas combining software, cloud APIs and infrastructure systems.

Who consider innovation and cutting-edge technologies as a major part of their deliverables will excel in this environment.
You should be able to identify operational patterns and issues and creatively develop solutions working with different internal engineering teams and external customer requirements.

Responsible for managing infrastructure automation code including: release management, implementing GitOps principles and utilizing agile methodologies. You will help automate and streamline our operations and processes while working closely with the Software Development groups and senior IT management.

From a technology perspective, this is a greenfield development environment with a huge amount of autonomy, leaving us free to build and innovate without being encumbered by legacy products and services. The primary technologies you will be managing are Kubernetes, Kafka, MongoDB, Aerospike and public clouds. You will manage systems that communicate with other services via well-defined RESTful interfaces.

Responsibilities

 Setup and drive the vision for the team to ensure best Site Reliability, Security, and DevOps best practices.

 Work with platform and feature engineering to build the right cloud-native solutions that can stand the test of time and scale seamlessly.

 Expand the team that would be needed to execute the vision.

 Optimize the cloud services(AWS, GCP) to reduce cost by tracking and sustaining the spend.

 Ensuring the uptime by improving the on-call incident process.

Expectations

 Knowledge of AWS is a must. GCP is good to have

 8+ years of experience in leading the SRE/DevOps team is a must.

 Experience with large scale production infrastructure involving distributed systems like Kafka, MongoDB, zookeeper

 Experience in automation using Hashicorp stack, gitops methodologies

 Experience in monitoring using Datadog, Prometheus, or equivalent
