Director of Engineering – Data Retention (Indexing & Search Team)

What You’ll Bring:

• Tenured experience as an Engineering Leader or similar position.
• Experience delivering data archiving products and services.
• Track record of delivering large-scale & multi content-type search and indexing applications
• Current or previous experience working with indexing and search technologies (Lucence, OpenSearch, Elasticsearch Solr)
• Experience using AI & ML to automate data access and retrieval.
• Strong technical background in software engineering, with hands-on experience in designing and developing backend services at scale within AWS.
• Experience in building and scaling high-performing engineering teams, including recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing talent development.
• Experience in establishing and enforcing coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes to maintain high-quality software development.
• Proven track record delivering multiple complex projects.
• Experience working with Scrum or other agile methodologies.
• A sense of urgency and ownership over the product
• Strong communication skills with experience in effectively communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
