We create the next generation of vehicle fleet and driver safety technology platform (SmartDrive®) that allows vehicles to track not just location and vehicle faults but also observe driving safety patterns with real-time streaming into the cloud and advanced machine learning technology.

We are looking for an experienced Software engineer to join our team, leading the design, development, and delivery of our highly scalable web applications in the cloud.

Skills Set

• Nodejs, NestJS, TypeScript/JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Angular.
• Cloud: AWS Services.
• Systems: Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins.
• Good to have: SQL, keyclock, React, PHP, Python, MongoDB, Redis.

Your role

Solera engineers are trusted with the responsibility of designing and developing software that embraces quality and reliability while delivering performance across all platforms. Your role will be to spearhead these efforts and be a leader and mentor for others on the engineering team, specifically by

• Be both highly technical and an effective people manager. Build highly secure, scalable, and reliable applications/services.
• Execute Agile planning and own the team's deliverables. Partner with product, QA, and other technical teams in test strategy, integration testing, release planning, and coordination.
• Ensuring the design and development of software are done according to best practices.
• Set clear expectations and goals.
• Monitoring and evaluating the performance of software engineering personnel.
• Mentoring engineers in technologies, patterns, and best practices while leading by example in your areas of expertise.

What We’re Looking For

• Masters/ Bachelors degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent.
• Broad full-stack experience consisting of front-end, services, and data layers.
• 9+ years of software engineering work exp., including hands-on technical management building holistic web-based software solutions, API design, and interactions between servers and clients.
• 3-4 years of hands-on experience building reliable and scalable microservices.
• Demonstrated experience recruiting and managing agile technical teams, including performance management.
• Experience leveraging CI/CD and robust build/test automation, and containerization (Bitbucket, Jenkins, Sonar, Docker, etc.)
• Experience with AWS services (S3, SNS, DynamoDB).
