ABOUT ROLE

You will deliver value to clients by building data-driven visual solutions.

At Gramener all applications are powered by Gramex, a Python-based in-house data and web platform. Our application technology stack is a healthy mix of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Python and YAML configurations for Gramex. It is not uncommon to use shell scripts, R, native mobile technologies wherever applicable.

A typical day involves collaborating with peer developers, consultants, analysts, quality analysts, clients to understand business requirements. Gramex applications are consumed in a varied set of ways: As screenshots, PDFs or as a stand-alone web application. These applications involve data visualization, good amount of analysis, business context.

In a nutshell, this role is at the intersection of data science and software engineering practices.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with the product and design teams to understand requirements, formulate use cases, and then translate that into an effective technical implementation to achieve a high-level of User delight.
• Exposure in D3 along with HTML and CSS is Must.
• Ability to quickly turn around rigorous wireframes and mockups in an iterative environment.
• Build responsive and elegant web UI using the latest Java Script standards and best practices.
• A clean sense of design aesthetics, and a natural propensity towards simplification over-complication.
• An aptitude and honed intuition for tasteful, visual design details.
• Learn and implement emerging web technologies.
• Person with core experience in coding HTML wireframes and/or building the front-end of dashboards independently.
• This would be more of front-end programming experience & with an eye for design.
• A person should be able to create the working front-end UI, when he/she is given a static design sketch. (Exp in design/image editing tool like Photoshop is NOT mandatory

• GitHub profile and past work
• Git version control
• Creating/packaging modules/libraries in JavaScript
• Previous work experience in the Data Science space
