Intranet Specialist

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Perform administration, updating and maintenance of Omnia/SharePoint driven intranet “front door” landing and subpage content, layout, navigation and functionality; manage content administrator permissions – restrict and revoke access as required. Ensure uniform navigation, design and alignment with corporate brand standards throughout intranet front door landing page, subpages and supporting SharePoint sites
  • Monitor intranet site usage via Omnia’s Velocity (Matomo) analytics tool and dashboard; follow up on dormancy and make recommendations to Corporate Communications Manager for improved traffic and user adoption
  • Assist Corporate Communications Manager in creating and updating intranet usage and content creation best practices
  • Liaise with Global IT team to maintain the SharePoint environment related to proper functionality of global employee intranet and foundational SharePoint sites/pages; ensure global employee access to intranet
  • Participate in monthly and quarterly Omnia user support and tech talks; perform ongoing research to determine SharePoint’s current and future capabilities in conjunction with Omnia platform
  • Provide intranet end-user support. Act as Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for end-users and designated intranet content administrators. Train content administrators on basic functionality and usage of Omnia page templates/content blocks as needed. Direct content administrators to training materials and available resources. Assist content administrators in setting up SharePoint sites/pages to support global intranet content as needed
  • Assist Corporate Communications Manager and Clinisys CMO with the updating and maintenance of CEO Corner and Brand Central SharePoint sites as needed
  • Assist Corporate Communications Manager in the set-up, hosting, and execution of MS Teams and MS Live events; assist with editing (via MS Stream) and posting of recorded sessions and related content on intranet and related SharePoint sites
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Experience and expertise in creating MS SharePoint sites/pages, and implementing out of the box apps or collaborative tools to include lists, document/form libraries, discussion boards, surveys, calendars, web parts, workflows, InfoPath, etc.,
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams and MS Live event set-up, hosting and management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Stream, Excel)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and team working skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and business partners at all levels
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent proof-reading skills
  • Ability to manage high volume of requests daily and work consultatively with internal customers while able to estimate time schedules and working toward deadlines
  • The candidate must be highly motivated self-starter, able to work efficiently in both independent and collaborative situations with demonstrated flexibility in multiple task assignments while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Solid business writing skills preferred

Essential

  • SharePoint 2010, SharePoint 2013, SharePoint Online
  • Experience creating SharePoint intranet pages/sites and implementing out of the box apps or collaborative tools to include lists, document/form libraries, discussion boards, survey’s calendars, the ribbon, web parts, workflows, InfoPath, etc.
  • A hands-on approach and comfortable operating with multiple nationalities
  • A collaborative approach and team work ethic
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills to support multiple audiences
  • Strong attention to detail and a structured and logical approach
  • Discrete and treat information confidentially

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • SharePoint 2010, SharePoint 2013, SharePoint Online
  • Experience creating SharePoint intranet pages/sites and implementing out of the box apps or collaborative tools to include lists, document/form libraries, discussion boards, survey’s calendars, the ribbon, web parts, workflows, InfoPath, etc.
  •  Demonstrated experience in a corporate setting and working with a corporate brand

Preferred Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • SharePoint 2010, SharePoint 2013, SharePoint Online
  • Experience creating SharePoint intranet pages/sites and implementing out of the box apps or collaborative tools to include lists, document/form libraries, discussion boards, survey’s calendars, the ribbon, web parts, workflows, InfoPath, etc.
  • Technical and functional experience utilizing MS O365 tools
  • Ability and comfort level communicating with and presenting to technical experts
  • Demonstrated business writing skills
  • Experience with technology and software industries
  • Experience working in-house in a corporate environment
