Lead QA Engineer

As a Lead QA Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the quality assurance team, overseeing the testing processes, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to maintain high standards of product quality.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management :

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers.
• Set objectives, provide guidance, and support the professional development of team members.
• Foster a culture of quality, innovation, and continuous improvement within the QA team.

Testing Strategy And Planning

• Develop and implement the overall testing strategy for the product or project.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to determine testing priorities and timelines.

Quality Assurance Execution

• Oversee the execution of various testing types (functional, non-functional, regression, performance, etc.).
• Ensure that all testing activities are carried out according to defined processes and standards.
• Conduct testing when necessary, and review the test outcomes.

Quality Metrics And Reporting

• Define and track key quality metrics and KPIs.
• Generate regular reports on quality status, test coverage, and issues found.
• Provide insights and recommendations for improvement based on the test results.

Collaboration And Communication

• Work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliverables.
• Participate in project meetings, providing input on quality-related matters.

Tool And Process Improvement

• Evaluate and implement new tools or processes to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Identify areas for process optimization and automation within the QA and Skills :
• B Tech / M Tech / MCA in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent with 4-8 years of hands-on experience in manual testing, APIs, DB testing, writing test cases, release management and production support.
• Must have knowledge of Agile processes, preferably worked in agile development and have exposure to tools like JIRA, ASANA, BUGZILLA, NULAB etc.
• Should have experience on end to end backend API testing using SOAP UI or POSTMAN
• Should have experience in writing complex SQL queries and also hand on database testing by manipulating (ADD/UPDATE/DELETE) test data.
