Position: Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer

Location: Mumbai/Bengaluru

Role Overview:

As a Machine Learning Engineer at Grootin®, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing machine learning algorithms and data-driven solutions to enhance our AI-powered music intelligence platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to leverage vast datasets from streaming platforms, social media, and user interactions to drive innovation and provide actionable insights for artists.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement machine learning algorithms and statistical models to analyze music trends, user preferences, and artist behavior.
• Develop predictive models and recommendation systems to enhance music composition, curation, and distribution.
• Utilize advanced techniques in natural language processing (NLP) to extract insights from textual data sources such as social media, music reviews, and artist profiles.
• Collaborate with audio signal processing engineers to extract features from audio data and identify patterns within music compositions.
• Explore and experiment with deep learning architectures such as recurrent neural networks (RNNs), generative adversarial networks (GANs), and sequence models for music generation.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and model validation to ensure robustness and accuracy of machine learning models.
• Work closely with software engineers to integrate machine learning models into production systems and optimize performance.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data science research to drive innovation and maintain Grootin®'s competitive edge.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing machine learning algorithms and statistical models.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala, and familiarity with machine learning libraries/frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and statistical principles.
• Experience with natural language processing (NLP) techniques and frameworks (e.g., NLTK, spaCy) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work with large-scale datasets.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in the music industry or related domains is desirable but not required.
