About the role:

Mathematical Optimization Specialist / Operations Research Programmer / Developer

What you’ll do for us:

• Work with customer and field teams to correctly and fully define the optimization problem.
• Actively participate in evaluating model enhancements, introduce new features & processes
• Formulate & Develop new mathematical optimization models based on various customer requirements
• Understand current mathematical optimization techniques and how they are implemented and used at customers
• Work with the software development team in converting the mathematical optimization models into productized offerings for customers
• Do performance improvement activities for new and existing mathematical optimization models and solvers
• Write clean, well-tested code.
• Write unit tests for new developed functionalities.
• Root cause analysis/debugging of issues and drive resolution
• Collaborate with related teams to achieve goals.

What you’ll have...

• MS/PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Management Science or a related field with 4+ years of industry experience
• Deep expertise in building mathematical models and prototyping
• Deep expertise in mathematical optimization techniques such as Linear Programming, Mixed Integer Programming, heuristics and meta-heuristic algorithms
• Expert in Python and proficient in more than one more major programming languages (C#/ Java, Python)
• Practical experience in implementing linear and non-linear optimization methods accompanied by expertise in the use of OR packages (e.g. CPLEX, Gurobi, Google OR-tools)
• Strong communication, influencing and partnership skills
• Experience building, iterating, and validating prescriptive data models from scratch
• Ability to distill problem definitions, models, and constraints from informal business requirements; and to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives
• Superior verbal and written communication skills

• During the interview phase, you will meet with the technical panel for 60 minutes. We will contact you after the interview to let you know if we’d like to progress your application.
• There will be 2 rounds of technical discussion followed by a Managerial round.
• We’ll then invite you to complete an online assessment via email. We will let you know if you’re the successful candidate.
