Role Summary

ConveGenius (CG) is seeking an ambitious professional with a knack for turning complex data into actionable insights to join our team and play a key role in unlocking the power of our vast educational data. In this role, you will be responsible for extracting, analyzing, and interpreting data provided from various educational sources to generate meaningful insights that will inform critical decisions and improve educational outcomes.

Tasks amp; Responsibilities

• Clean, pre-process, and transform data from diverse educational sources, including student information systems, learning management systems, assessment platforms, and surveys, to ensure accuracy and consistency for analysis.
• Conduct statistical analysis and utilize data mining techniques to identify trends, patterns, and relationships within the data.
• Develop and implement data visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate insights to non-technical audiences.
• Generate comprehensive reports and presentations that translate complex data into actionable recommendations for stakeholders, including educators, administrators, and policymakers.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging data analysis techniques and technologies relevant to the education sector.
• Collaborate with educators, researchers, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure that data analysis aligns with their priorities.

Education amp; Experience

• Master’s degree in any of the following areas: Statistics, Data science, educational measurement and evaluation, economics, or related field.
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the education sector.
• Strong understanding of statistical principles, data mining techniques, and hypothesis testing.
• Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools such as SQL, Python (or R), and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner for non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

Competencies

• Experience in applying machine learning algorithms, supervised and unsupervised learning, classification, clustering, and potentially natural language processing to analyze educational data.
• Ability to conduct in-depth research on educational trends, best practices, and assessment methodologies.
• Effective communication skills to convey complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through reports, presentations, and visualizations.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. You should be able to thrive in a collaborative environment, fostering a strong team spirit and effectively contributing to achieving shared goals.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and emerging trends in education.
