organization. You will be working closely with leadership across attempting to
answer questions like where to put up our dark stores, forecasting demand across
products at a hyperlocal level, designing incentives for last mile, optimizing

About the organization:
Client is a new age startup working on Dark Store business model delivering groceries in less than 10 mins with a vision to be the first choice of groceries. Being valued at 570 Mn $ they are aiming to reach their Unicorn status in less than 1yr to be the youngest Unicorn startup of India.  

The data engineering team closely works with the Technology and Analytics team to design, propose and develop solutions keeping the growing scale & business requirements in mind. Looking for a leader who shall own, define and execute the overall data engineering practice vision.
Responsibilities:
● Build and mentor a world class team, recognize their strengths, and lead them to take ownership of end-to-end data architecture
● Design and build best in class architecture for leveraging data, optimize data pipelines in support of descriptive analytics, data science, and ML
● Develop and implement a global data governance strategy to enable data privacy and security protocols and ensure adherence
● Stay on top of latest developments in tech stack and propose potential upgrades to existing systems

Requirements:
● 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering - Designing databases, building data pipelines, and maintaining data governance protocols in cloud platforms
● A visionary in technical architecture, with experience building and maintaining Data Engineering Products, along with demonstrated ability to take accountability for achieving results
● Hands-on working experience with Python, ETL pipelines, advanced SQL
● Strong understanding of AWS Services - Redshift, Lambda, Glue, Athena, security protocols
● Experience in any Cloud DW Redshift/Snowflake/BigQuery/Synapse
● Strong data Modeling and database design experience with Redshift or other relational databases
● Experience working with Agile methodologies, Test Driven Development and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab and Docker
● Good understanding of ETL/ELT technology and processes
● Experience in gathering and processing raw data at scale including writing scripts, web scraping, calling APIs
