Job Description:
We're looking for a Developer Relations Engineer who is passionate about people, problems, and all things software testing. In this role, you'll, essentially, lead by example. You'll be a contributor to Testsigma open source project and simplify test automation, while engaging with SDETs and test automation engineers across the world to encourage them to do the same. You'll make yourself known and heard in community calls, and you'll help showcase platform capabilities by working with the team to create technical content in several languages and frameworks. Most importantly, you will continuously align our core engineering team and product roadmap with community interests, helping us make products that people love.
Responsibilities..
Build and grow the Testsigma Developer community. Interact directly with developers at events around the world.
Coding: Join our efforts to make the Testsigma Open Source(OS) project a success by contributing to core projects, documentation, workshops, code samples, and other educational resources as needed.
Presenting: Support the Testsigma developer community through the creation of tutorials, blogs, videos, podcasts, and other content demonstrating test automation(Testsigma) concepts and practices and how to use Testsigma.
Community: Participate in technical communities as a test automation practitioner having, or developing, a deep understanding of that community’s needs. Answer questions, and advocate for best practices in test automation/DevOps through your speaking, writing, and social engagements.
Collaboration: Advocate for your community internally and influence the product strategy by working with Product Management, Design, Engineering, PR, Marketing, Business Development, and other cross-functional teams.
Product: Represent the needs of technical communities throughout the entire product lifecycle - including input on design discussions, customer zero testing, launch, and post-launch updates.
Advocate for developers internally, and help the product teams better understand the needs of their customers.
Preferred qualifications
5+ years of experience as a software engineer, developer, test automation engineer, QA or equivalent technical experience.
3+ years of experience in test automation tools, such as Selenium, Appium, Cypress and others.
Experience in building test automation frameworks.
Great communication and technical writing skills.
Experience speaking at technology conferences, docs/blogging/writing technical articles and teaching and working with developers.
Open source contributions in Java, Ruby, JavaScript, or Python or a willingness to start.
Experience with and confidence in delivering technical content( tutorials or screencasts) in public forums.
Engagement and communication with developer platforms or open source communities
