Role Description:- We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive JIRA Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the JIRA platform, ensuring its optimal performance, and supporting the needs of various teams within the organization. This role requires strong technical skills, a thorough understanding of JIRA's functionalities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with different stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Administration:
• Install, configure, and manage Jira and Confluence environments.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks including upgrades, backups, and patching.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.
• User Management:
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and roles.
• Provide user support and training to enhance the effective use of Jira and Confluence.
• Customization and Integration:
• Customize Jira projects, workflows, screens, and fields to support business processes.
• Develop and manage Confluence spaces, templates, and macros.
• Integrate Jira and Confluence with other tools and systems.
• Workflow and Process Optimization:
• Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and develop solutions.
• Create and maintain custom workflows, automation rules, and scripts.
• Optimize existing processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain documentation related to system configuration, processes, and policies.
• Develop and generate reports and dashboards to provide insights and analytics.
• Security and Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
• Implement and maintain security best practices for user and system data.

Requirements:-

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in Atlassian tools (e.g., Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator) are mandatory.
• Min of 3+ years of experience in administering Jira and Confluence environments.
• Proven experience with Atlassian tools, plugins, and marketplace apps.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Python) and SQL.
• Strong understanding of Jira and Confluence architecture and functionality.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Jira Service Management (formerly Jira Service Desk).
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and ITSM practices.
• Familiarity with cloud environments and migrations to Atlassian Cloud.
• Experience with automation tools like Jira Automation or equivalent.
