Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Platform Engineer with deep expertise in managing Kubernetes clusters, Helm for package management, and implementing infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform on AWS. The ideal candidate will also have hands-on experience with Argo CD for continuous delivery, strong proficiency in Python and Go, and a passion for optimizing cloud infrastructure. This role requires excellent debugging skills, a solid understanding of cloud security best practices, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable and resilient Kubernetes clusters.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform for various AWS services.
• Utilize Helm for managing and deploying Kubernetes applications.
• Implement and manage continuous delivery workflows using Argo CD.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless application integration and deployment.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance for high availability and reliability.
• Apply security best practices and ensure compliance across cloud infrastructure.
• Document systems, processes, and procedures with clarity and precision.
• Develop automation scripts and tools using Python and Go.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Stay informed of the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to ensure best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5+ years of experience with a strong focus on Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform on AWS.
• Expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Proven experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch).
• Strong proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Experience with Argo CD for continuous delivery.
• Proficiency in Python and Go programming languages.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, able to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, etc.
• Knowledge of cloud networking, security, and compliance best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
• Experience with service mesh technologies like Istio or Linkerd.
• Familiarity with other IaC tools such as Ansible or Chef.
• Exposure to other cloud platforms like GCP or Azure.
