Your Role

You will be working on a product that will empower the state systems to enhance the student learning experience with insights that are unmatched and technically sound. In this role, you will be working with the Psychometrics amp;amp; the analytics team along with different state agencies to understand the requirements amp;amp; expected insights which will be developed and deployed. A major part of your day will go in understanding the problem areas, discussing solutions, and working with your team to build a model which analyses the data effectively and work with designers to craft delightful dashboard/report to present meaningfully. You are a researcher, a data analyst, a coder and most importantly an impact person, with 3-5 years of experience in analytics and designing BI solutions.

Tasks amp; Responsibilities

• Understanding the requirements and translating them to technical specifications
• Designing, building, and deploying Power BI Solutions
• Design and develop high performance models/reports with optimal Queries and DAX
• Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
• Evaluate and improve existing BI systems
• Collaborate with multiple teams to evaluate and deploy solutions
• Develop, performance tune and execute database queries
• Write and maintain technical documentation on all tasks

Education amp; Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field
• Minimum 5 years of extensive experience as BI Developer (preferably MS Power BI) with an overall experience of 5-8 years
• Minimum 2 years extensive SQL experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in data preparation, data gateway and data warehousing projects
• Working experience as a R or Python Developer will have an added advantage.

Competencies

• Proven expertise in writing DAX functions.
• Should be able to write SQL queries and work on python or R script.
• Experience working with Data Warehouse
• Strong communication and customer relationship skills.
• Understanding of SQL Server tools including SSIS, SSAS, SSRS.
• A Self-starter, quick learner and a problem-solver with a positive outlook who can collaborative and work in teams.
• Knowledge and ability to navigate between requirements and practical constraints in both design and development of BI solution.
