About the Role:
As a Senior Technical Writer at CleverTap, you will work with the product writing team to update technical documentation; this includes updating user and developer documentation. You will be responsible for updating technical documents and manuals clearly and concisely, and work with the product and engineering teams to ensure product description accuracy.
What will you do:
- Write, edit, and publish technical SaaS B2B developer and user documentation.
- Work with UX and technical writers to ensure product documentation is accurate and consistent.
- Interface with engineering, QA, and product management to extract complex technical concepts and prepare project schedules.
- Maintain content and manage multiple projects using Jira and Confluence.
- Test & document APIs.
- Adhere to the style guide and participate in peer reviews.
- Participate in all applicable product and developer meetings via Zoom and Slack.
- Manage updates and revisions to technical documentation.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, product management, and product marketing.
- Update technical information into clear, concise, and effective documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Contribute to internal reference documentation, including marketing wikis, style guide, procedural documentation, and product glossary.
- Experience in video creation with storyboarding, video editing, and presentation.
- You understand the metrics/analytics essential for a technical writing team and can drive organic growth of the docs using these numbers.
What are we looking for?
Must have:
- Between 4-8 yrs of technical writing experience
- Experience working with mobile marketing Saas companies considered a plus
- Excellent people and time management skills
- Excellent oral, written, analytical, and organizational skills
- Experience writing conceptual, introductory software documentation for non-technical end-users (not just instructional, how-to docs)
- Self-motivated and effective in a fluid environment
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams in different time zones
- Extraordinary organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Proven ability to learn new documentation tools in a timely manner
- Communication aptitude coupled with an enthusiasm for technical writing and technology
- Excellent writing and communication skills with the capacity to create exceptional content and comfortably engage with internal stakeholders
