Position Summary:

We seek a Software Architect to lead the Puppet engineering team. You'll help define and build robust, scalable products that directly impact customers. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of delivering high-quality software in a fast-paced, agile environment. You will have significant ownership and responsibility for the quality and operation of all software shipped.

Responsibilities:

    • Define system specifications based on company needs
    • Translate complex requirements into technical architecture
    • Design and plan technology solutions
    • Communicate system requirements to development teams
    • Evaluate and select appropriate software or hardware and suggest integration methods
    • Oversee programs, conduct code reviews, and provide team guidance
    • Solve technical problems as they arise
    • Ensure implementation of agreed architecture and infrastructure
    • Address technical concerns and suggestions
    • Monitor systems to ensure they meet user and business goals
    • Ensure timely delivery of enterprise-quality products
    • Contribute to Open Source and commercial products
    • Drive initiatives for process improvement, quality metrics, communication, and tooling

Requirements:

    • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
    • 17+ years of professional experience, with at least 3 years as a Software Architect
    • Proficient in at least two programming languages: Ruby, Java, React, Go
    • Knowledge of gRPC, microservices, and cloud technologies
    • Strong understanding of DevOps
    • Proficient with Linux and Windows build tools
    • Experience with multiple Linux distributions (e.g., RedHat, Ubuntu, Debian)
    • Familiarity with Continuous Integration systems like Jenkins
    • Experience with Configuration Management systems such as Puppet or Ansible
    • Skilled in compiling software with open-source toolchains
    • Experience with version control
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills
    • Experience with multinational companies preferred
