Job Description:-

As a Software Engineer (Frontend) at Wingify, you will be responsible for building and improving the front end of our customer-facing web application. We work iteratively, ship code frequently, and collaborate closely with the back-end team to deliver seamless, high-quality experiences. The solutions you develop will be deployed across thousands of websites, impacting millions of users worldwide.

What We Look For

We're looking for engineers who have a strong grasp of front-end development but also understand the broader web stack—how browsers work, how the HTTP protocol functions, and how different layers of a web application interact.

You should have experience working with modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries, but more importantly, you should understand the fundamentals of performance optimization, browser rendering, caching strategies, and writing modular, maintainable code. We also highly value engineers who can prompt, understand, and apply AI technologies effectively in their daily work, whether it's in automation, performance enhancements, or user experience improvements.

Beyond core front-end skills, we value engineers who are curious and adaptable to new AI-driven technologies. AI is becoming an essential part of modern software development, and we expect candidates to be comfortable leveraging AI-powered tools, integrating AI into front-end applications, and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI-driven development.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, optimize, and maintain the front end of our web application.
• Participate in designing and implementing new features, ensuring they are AI-enhanced where applicable.
• Contribute to evolving our front-end architecture for scalability and maintainability.
• Work closely with the back-end team to ensure seamless integration.
• Stay updated with web technologies, browser internals, AI-driven development trends, and industry best practices.
• Actively explore AI-powered developer tools, automation, and machine learning models that can enhance the front-end experience.
• Share insights and contribute to the developer community (we love open-source!).

Skills & Experience:

• Min 2+ years of experience in front-end development at scale.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of the DOM, canvas rendering, and SVG.
• Deep knowledge of browser internals, including rendering pipelines, caching, and performance optimizations.
• Strong grasp of HTTP, APIs, and how the web stack works.
• Experience with modular, reusable code and front-end frameworks like AngularJS or React with an understanding of their internal workings.
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript concepts such as promises, async/await, and data binding.
• Ability to write high-quality, maintainable, and performant front-end code.
• Experience in ensuring cross-browser compatibility and debugging browser-specific issues.
• Understanding of performance measurement and benchmarking tools.
• Experience with automated testing (TDD/BDD) using tools like Cypress or Playwright.
• Prior experience working in agile development environments.
• Strong foundation in CSS methodologies (SASS, LESS, Atomic CSS) and UI frameworks.
• Awareness and understanding of AI technologies and their implications in front-end development.
• Ability to prompt, experiment with, and integrate AI-driven solutions for automation, code improvement, and user experience enhancements.
