Dealmakers and Wealth team is responsible for FactSet’s breed & industry leading Market Data, deep-dive Reporting and Research management products highlighting FactSet’s proprietary content to the global financial community. These products are used by thousands of Asset Managers, Investment Bankers, and corporate clients around the world every day to assist with investment decisions, market monitoring, company and economic analysis and sharing of buy/sell decisions and the presentation of results. D&W's product space represents a high growth opportunity for FactSet’s workstation count.
The D&W SBU is focused on innovating the foundation of FactSet’s product offering. By marrying robust content, intuitive applications, and innovative technology, we defend and grow our footprint across several key user classes including investment banking, sell-side research, buy-side research, private equity, portfolio managers, traders, capital markets, investor relations, and media. This SBU contains Core Applications (Screening, Company & Security Analytics, Industry and Markets, Filings, Ownership, Research, News, Charting). The SBU closely partners with the Data Solutions and Platform Horizontals on strategy for FactSet Web, Mobile, and much of FactSet’s content offering.
Job Description
The Charting and Browser Engineering groups of the Wealth and Deal Makers are looking for a strong C++ junior level engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience, who can perform multiple responsibilities across the projects.
The Charting Projects are based on legacy C++ code base developed on Unix and Windows platforms.
The front end is an MVVM /.Net based application whereas the Backend services are developed on Unix.
The C++ based Marquee charts code base is still relevant.
The engineer should be able to switch between the Browser Projects, the C++ based applications and Charting.
Looking for a dynamic engineer who is vital to our client-facing applications to engage with our clients in a tech-forward approach. Our primary functions are to serve as engineers who build and support the afore-mentioned projects. We approach these objectives with mindful awareness of the external technology experience and support several facades of Factset applications. We are looking for a candidate who can work in a team and independently.
