Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Staff Software Engineer at Zynix.AI. The Staff Software Engineer will be responsible for back-end web development, software development, programming, and applying object-oriented programming principles. This role is primarily located in Bengaluru, with flexibility for remote work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop robust, scalable backend systems using modern technologies and cloud-native solutions
• Lead the design and implementation of complex distributed systems and microservices architectures
• Drive technical decisions and best practices across multiple teams
• Mentor and guide senior and junior engineers, fostering a culture of engineering excellence
• Collaborate with product managers and data scientists to translate cutting-edge AI/ML models into production-ready systems
• Optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance in a healthcare environment where reliability is critical
• Contribute to open-source projects and represent Zynix.AI at technical conferences

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of building large-scale, distributed systems
• Expert-level proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Go, Python, or Scala
• Deep understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong background in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
• Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and real-time data processing systems (Kafka, Flink)
• Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) and regulations (HIPAA) is a significant plus
• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field preferred
• Contributions to open-source projects or research publications are highly valued
