What You'll Do

The Technical Writer possesses the ability to grasp highly complex technical solutions quickly and translate them into engaging content for internal and external audiences. The position involves a combination of hands-on writing, reviewing, editing, and managing of wiki documentation, video tutorials, webinar content, Learning Mgmt curriculum creation, and product runbooks. This position interacts directly with the Global Support, Security Operations, Cloud Technology, Information Technology and Cloud Vendor Management teams.

Qualifications, Strengths and Skills

Education - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experiences or certifications

Experience - 3-6 years of technical writing experience

• Expert writing skills with proven experience devising user-friendly documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience working with Content Management Systems like Document 360 and Zendesk Guide preferred
• Experience using a help authoring tool such as MadCap Flare or Adobe RoboHelp
• Advanced Photoshop, Draw.IO, Confluence, PowerPoint skills required
• Understanding of RESTful web services and how to make calls, access resources, etc.
• Knowledge of Github /Git processes like branching and merging, pull requests, and working from the command line
• Capable of reading simple lines of code and validating basic documentation
• Understanding of frontend technologies such as HTML/CSS and Javascript
• Must be self-motivated and capable of working independently
