As a Website QA Specialist within the Marketing Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of Egnyte’s corporate web s ite and other customer-facing web properties like Blog , Help Desk , University & Platform Free Trial Registration Page. You will collaborate alongside our cross-functional team of Developers, Designers, Product Marketing, SEM, CRO, SEO, Analytics, Engineering, Operations & QA to improve our website’s functionality, user experience, and performance to help drive engagement and interest.
What You’ll Do
- Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on design and functional specifications.
- Identify, document, and communicate test requirements and objectives.
- Conduct manual testing to ensure all the customer-facing web properties meet the specified requirements.
- Execute test cases, report bugs, and track issues through to resolution.
- Perform functional, usability, and regression testing.
- Test website functionality across different browsers and devices.
- Ensure responsive design and consistent user experience across platforms.
- Conduct performance and load testing to ensure website scalability.
- Identify and report performance bottlenecks.
- Work closely with web developers, graphic designers, QA engineer and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback.
- Participate in planning, review and team meetings.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Staying updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, tools and technologies in QA
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science , Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 – 4 years of proven experience in website testing of which 1 – 2 years of experience in automation testing.
- Proven experience with manual and automated testing tools such as Selenium Java, Selenium Python , or Selenium JavaScript.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as Chrome Dev Tools, Pingdom , GTmetrix , Google PageSpeed Insights .
- Knowledge of Web Development Life Cycle (WDLC), Agile methodologies and QA processes.
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript)
- Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc).
- Understanding of SEO best practices.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitLab) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
- Ability to clearly articulate issues, concerns, and recommendations to designers, developers , and other stakeholders.
- Writing detailed and understandable bug reports and documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using Asana, JIRA, Confluence, Figma , BrowserStack , Appium.
- Previous experience working directly with (or as part of) a marketing team.
