SKETCHUP: • Creating detailed 3D models of building, rooftop and solar panel layouts. • Accurately represent the physical environment where the solar system will be installed. • Perform shading analysis to understand the impact of shadow on solar panel performance. • Utilize plugins like skelion to simulate shading and optimize panel placement. • Optimizing the design for maximum energy production and cost effectiveness. PVCAD: • Creating detailed PV array layouts for rooftop and ground mounted systems. • Utilizing automated features to quickly generate designs including module placement, stringing and electrical connections. • Using topographic features to design systems for uneven terrain and large-scale ground mounted projects. • Exporting designs to PVsyst for detailed energy yield simulations and performance analysis. • Developing accurate single line diagrams for PV systems. • Ensure compliance with industry standards and local regulations.
