- After a very comfortable stint at Fullerton, I wanted to challenge myself with new experiences. I took a leap of faith and started a business.
- Started and closed multiple POCs - without any metrics to define success or failure.
- Identified a problem to work on and which exited me - fixing how the content flows in the then existing networks on the internet. It was majorly through social graph, ideated a product to increase the chances of a content going viral through algorithmic flow using ML.
- Started a content blog which got 100K+ monthly visitors in 3 months.
- Started a relationship consulting app, got 5K+ users in 2 weeks.
- Researched extensively on small fashion retailers like boutiques. Wanted to connect unbranded manufacturers via influencers.
- In the hind-sight I realise I lacked the right mindset required. Needed more experience. Product thinking is crucial, but not enough to build a business. Lacked the ability to zoom in and zoom out quickly on the business problem. Lacked patience to see things through. And I should have applied product thinking to all the other areas of the business. But this phase helped me grow a lot personally.
