About The Job
As Product Designer II, you will help identify and solve hurdles for the Airbase by Paylocity user groups within the Product organization. You will team up closely with cross-functional teams, including UX researchers and developers, to gather insights, iterate on designs, and ensure seamless implementation. You will craft wireframes, prototypes, and align design solutions with user needs and business goals. Additionally, you will proactively contribute to our team culture by contributing your expertise, participating in design discussions, and fostering a team up and innovative environment. They are also creative thinkers and problem-solvers dedicated to putting the user first by learning through rapid experiments and frequent customer feedback loops.

What You Will Do

• Deeply comprehend the customer pain points around how they spend money and also the long-term goals of the organisation.
• Plan and execute user testing of your designs
• Proactively build relationships with stakeholders across different teams or departments, fostering a network of associations within the organization
• Work closely with PMs, engineers and Customer Success to define the user experience we deliver throughout the product from initial definition to launch
• Design workflows and interactions that are simple and easy to use
• Communicate your design thoughts and ideas through wireframes, mockups, and hi-fidelity visual designs
• Take ownership and drive small- to medium-sized projects, demonstrating creative and evaluative thinking in organizing project setups, timelines, and needs

What You Will Bring

• At least 3-5 years of experience using design system patterns to create engaging, multi-platform user experiences at an enterprise level organization or equivalent experience, demonstrating a strong body of work
• Has knowledge of workflow design
• Has knowledge of HTML and CSS, along with proficiency in popular design tools like Figma, Sketch, InVision, and Adobe Creative Cloud
• Has knowledge in one or more of the following areas and proficient in another: User Research, Product Design, UI Development, and UX Writing
• Experience working in an agile software development environment, working on/with cross-functional teams to deliver a product user experience
• Demonstrated ability to deliver and iterate on valuable user experiences
• Effectively communicates design thinking and product strategy with the team and stakeholders that deliver upon business outcomes
• Experience with web and mobile application design
• Comprehension of the trade-offs involved in design tools and techniques
• Attention to detail especially to tiny interaction details that delight users

Nice To Have

• Experience with workflow-driven B2B SaaS products
• Experience with Accounting or Fintech software
• Experience designing products in remote or distributed team environments
