Description
Manage a team of network engineers and provide them with relevant guidance and leadership to achieve departmental goals.
Oversee the POCs, implementation, and management of networking infrastructure and services, including but not limited to LANs, WANs, Load Balancers, wireless, internet systems and Public Cloud Based Networking.
Ensure network performance by monitoring and analyzing network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with network architects on network optimization.
Develop and enforce network processes and procedures, ensuring network integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards.
Collaborate with vendors, partners and contractors of network products and services to achieve business goals.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for network systems, ensuring business continuity.
Keep abreast of new technologies and trends in network solutions, proposing and implementing enhancements to improve service quality.
Contribute to budgetary planning for network hardware, software, and other resources.
Drive regular network audits (both internal and external) to assess performance and compliance.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product development and software engineering teams for the successful implementation of cloud solutions from network perspective.
Provide reports and updates on key initiatives to senior management on network related deliverables (projects and operations).
Develop and enforce strategy to automate deliverables from networking perspective and reduce manual toil for overall efficiency.
Oversee adherence to the ITIL and AGILE ways of working in the team.
Qualifications
Between 15-20 years of overall IT experience.
Strong knowledge of IP networking concepts like TCP/IP, DNS, LAN/WAN, wireless, routing and switching etc.
Good understanding of network security technologies and cloud-based networking with working experience on Public Cloud (GCP, Azure, AWS).
Strong leadership and team management skills with the inherent ability to mentor and motivate a team of networking professionals.
Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to drive business requirements into the expected deliverables.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholder teams both technical and non-technical.
Professional Networking Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIS and Public Cloud Networking Certifications are highly desirable.
