What You’ll Do
As a Cloud Operations Engineer at Provenir, your role will be instrumental in providing product support for setting up and managing the infrastructure components, tools, and services required for hosting our products on multi-vendor cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will be responsible for resolving product-related issues, automating tasks, and optimizing performance to ensure smooth and efficient product hosting. Your main responsibilities will include:
Product Issue Resolution: Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to product hosting, infrastructure setup, networking, security, storage, and other infrastructure components. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, product development, and clients to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner, ensuring high availability and performance of the product hosting environment.
Infrastructure Setup and Automation: Setting up and maintaining the necessary infrastructure components and services required for hosting our products on multi-vendor cloud platforms. Automating infrastructure setup processes using tools such as GIT, Jenkins, Terraform, and scripting/automation, to streamline deployment and configuration processes and improve efficiency.
Cloud Optimization: Monitoring and optimizing the performance and health of the product hosting environment using cloud observability tools such as DataDog, NewRelic, Splunk, Prometheus, and other relevant tools. Identifying performance bottlenecks, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing optimizations to ensure optimal performance and availability of the product hosting environment.
Task Automation: Automating routine tasks, such as backups, scaling, monitoring, and maintenance activities, using scripting and automation tools, to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining documentation related to infrastructure setup, configurations, and best practices. Providing regular reports on infrastructure performance, issue resolutions, and automation initiatives to relevant stakeholders.
Collaboration: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, product development, DevOps, and clients to understand their requirements, provide technical guidance, and address their concerns related to product hosting and infrastructure setup. Participating in incident, change, and problem management processes, following ITIL best practices.
