We are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to help define and build the future of New Relic’s consumption based pricing model. This will be a hybrid role some time required working in the office and optional work from home available.

What you'll do

• 10+ Years of overall experience 
• Lead and grow a team responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of New Relic's platform
• Coach and mentor a committed group of engineers so that they can develop further their personal and professional abilities and be engaged and motivated
• Drive technology decision making, process efficiency and engineering excellence
• Ensure the success of software projects through the planning and execution phases within and across teams
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to align product and business goals 
• Implement processes and methodologies that foster operational excellence
• Serve as a domain expert in areas of data governance, transparency, and accuracy for New Relic's consumption-based business model.
• Drive the recruitment, training, and development of top-tier talent in the region.

This role requires

• 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams
• Proven track record as a technology leader and of leading and scaling strong technical teams
• Capable of diving deep and understanding the technical implications and risks of a decision
• Hands on experience with a high level language such as Java, C#, Go, Scala
• Strong experience with streaming / data at scale
• Experience SQL, Data Modeling, and DataBase technologies
• Experience managing on-call rotations, dev-ops practices, and 24/7 operations

• History of getting things done in a distributed, large-scale, and fast-growing environment

Bonus points if you have

• Experience with observability tools
• Experience in the Growth space
• Experience with consumption based billing models
• Experience handling mission critical, high accuracy data at scale
