About the Role:

As a QA Engineer I, specializing in mobile applications, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and dependability of our software products. Your responsibilities will include devising comprehensive testing strategies, crafting and executing meticulous test cases, and meticulously documenting results. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with diverse teams to swiftly identify and rectify defects, ensuring seamless integration and delivery of top-notch mobile applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for mobile applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality and reliability of mobile applications.
• Identify and report software defects with precision, using appropriate bug tracking tools.  Conduct regression testing to ensure the stability of mobile applications across different versions.
• Investigate and analyze mobile application performance issues, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Work closely with developers to understand user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring effective test coverage.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies, emphasizing automation and efficiency.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in mobile application testing, incorporating new techniques and tools as appropriate.
• Champion a culture of quality and excellence within the QA team, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing.

What Are We Looking For?

• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Agile work model.
• Strong understanding of both functional and non-functional testing concepts.
• Proficiency in mobile application testing principles, including testing on various platforms (iOS, Android) and devices.
• Ability to create comprehensive test cases based on requirements and execute them effectively to identify defects.
• Experience in API Testing: Familiarity with tools like Postman or similar for testing APIs.
• Proficiency in SQL: Ability to write and execute complex SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data for testing purposes.
• Bug Tracking and Reporting: Proficiency in using bug tracking tools like Jira or Bugzilla to report and track issues throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Experience in testing on different Android/iOS versions using emulators or simulators.
• Familiarity with mobile app performance testing tools and techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within crossfunctional teams.

Nice To Have

• Experience in mobile automation testing using tools like Appium.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python for test automation.
• Familiarity with reporting tools to generate comprehensive test reports.
• Experience with version control systems like Git for managing test scripts and code.
• Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
