Granicus is looking to expand its security Cyber Defense program and is looking for someone to provide expertise to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization. What your impact will look like here:
- Serve as subject matter expert for all network security engineering technologies
- Provide leadership within the Network Security Engineering team and across Granicus
- Implementing ingress security controls for public Internet facing SaaS products
- Work with teams and provide leadership to implement network controls to protect cloud assets
- Identify technical challenges and formulate engineering solutions
- Apply good design and problem-solving skills to multi-team projects
- Build new detection capabilities based on research of new attack techniques
- Maintain, tune, and sunset existing detection capabilities
- Work closely with SOC Operations team to design and improve process flows
- Work closely with Security Engineering to improve tooling and processes
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Provide mentorship and leadership for other Cyber Defense personnel
- Research new security technology trends that can be used to reduce exposure
- Work with cross functional teams as a security representative during incidents
- Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
You will love this job if you have:
- Advanced level knowledge of network security engineering technologies, techniques, and implementation
- Broad and deep expertise in modern networking technologies, especially cloud networking in AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Demonstrated expertise with cloud network security technologies including next-generation firewalls, web application firewalls, DDoS mitigation, bot protection, API gateways, network security groups using tools such as Akamai AAP
- Demonstrated expertise with on premises network security technologies including next-generation firewalls, routers, switches, and intrusion detection and prevention systems such as Wildfire
- Working knowledge of Cyber Security detection and response processes, methodologies, and tools
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to be a self-starter
- Ability to work independently to accomplish assigned objectives with minimal supervision
- Ability to lead others and manage direct reports
- Experience engineering with cybersecurity tools such as SIEM, EDR, CSPM
- Ability to write technical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and train team members
