Job purpose

As a Specialist - Software Architecture, you will be ensuring a collaborative and coordinated approach to driving digital change. You will execute and facilitate the design and development of complex web applications, ensuring compliance with the defined procedure and guidelines.

What will you do?

• Understanding business requirements from Business Analyst and preparing design specifications
• Create/Update physical and logical data models based on the requirements
• Analyse the impact of the requirements on already existing functionalities
• Update Requirement Traceability Matrix
• Prepare High-Level Designs and Low-Level Designs
• Prepare and design an integration strategy
• Recommend the best possible designs patterns to solve the problem and explain the pros/cons clearly of alternate designs
• Prepare unit test cases
• Review code from a functional and technical point of view
• Review Designs with other peers
• Guide developers in writing code as per design
• Perform Integration Testing in the development environment.

What do you need to know?

• Extensive experience in methods, procedures and techniques for system conversions and design enhancements, including the use of structure, behaviour, and interaction diagrams in the analysis and design of complex web applications
• Excellent knowledge of design patterns and the ability to apply design patterns to solve practical problems
• Experienced in agile ways of working and able to collaborate closely with product managers, business analysts, developers and commercial teams to develop leading products and features.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of performance-tuning methodologies is a plus

• Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree (in engineering or a related subject)
