Founding Platform Engineer (Mid Level)

Responsibilities:

1. Infrastructure Security and Governance:
   • Implement robust security measures to safeguard the infrastructure from potential threats and vulnerabilities.
   • Establish and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
   • Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks proactively.
2. In-VPC Deployment Management:
   • Design, configure, and maintain secure and scalable in-VPC deployments for various applications and services.
   • Automate deployment processes and ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure components.
   • Monitor and optimize in-VPC deployments for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
3. Infrastructure Scaling and Optimization:
   • Architect and implement scalable infrastructure solutions capable of handling thousands of servers injecting data.
   • Leverage cloud computing technologies and auto-scaling techniques to dynamically adjust resources based on demand.
   • Continuously monitor and optimize infrastructure performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
4. High Availability and Responsiveness:
   • Implement redundancy and failover mechanisms to achieve 99.99% uptime for critical systems and services.
   • Design and configure load balancing strategies to distribute traffic effectively across multiple servers.
   • Monitor system performance and responsiveness, taking proactive measures to maintain optimal user experience.
5. Automation and DevOps Practices:
   • Embrace DevOps principles and implement automation tools and processes for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment.
   • Collaborate with development teams to establish continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
   • Promote a culture of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and version control for infrastructure management.
