Pre-Sales- Solution Engineer

Job Description

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement – Build relationships with customers, understand their needs, and offer tailored product recommendations.
  • Sales Support – Collaborate with the sales team to present proposals, deliver demonstrations, conduct training, and support the conversion process.
  • Solution Development – Gather client requirements, develop solutions, and customize offerings to align with customer objectives.
  • Sales Strategy – Strategically position the business against competitors, plan effective sales tactics, and develop marketing concepts.
  • Sales Process Management – Oversee the bid process and ensure a smooth handover to the delivery team.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work across teams to set and manage customer expectations, ensuring all deliverables are met.
  • Product Expertise – Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of your product category and maintain an understanding of the competitive landscape.
  • Analytical and Data-Driven Decision Making – Use data insights to inform sales approaches, optimize solution development, and measure product ROI.
  • Communication and Negotiation – Exhibit strong communication and negotiation skills to manage stakeholder expectations and close deals effectively.
  • Adaptability and Innovation – Stay adaptable and proactive in solution presentations, using creativity to align with fast-paced changes in the SaaS landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Discovery – Conduct in-depth needs assessments to understand client business challenges and tailor solutions to meet these needs.
  • Lead Generation – Identify potential clients and cultivate leads.
  • Client Engagement – Schedule and lead sales appointments with clients.
  • Record-Keeping Optimization – Manage client records and optimize the process for efficient information retrieval.
  • Product Demonstrations – Develop and deliver impactful product demonstrations and presentations that address specific client needs.
  • Client Relationship Building – Foster strong relationships with clients to establish trust and long-term partnerships.
  • Sales Process Management – Monitor the competitive landscape and follow market developments to refine strategies and maintain relevance.
  • Solution Engineering – Collaborate with sales and technical teams to ensure seamless solution delivery and smooth project handoffs.
  • Product Feedback and Enhancement – Contribute to new product features and improvements based on client feedback and market demand.
  • Training and Support – Provide ongoing training and support to clients to maximize product adoption and success.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years as a solution expert in B2B SaaS.
  • Languages: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Hindi and English.
  • Product and Industry Knowledge: Passion for and understanding of SaaS tools and solutions in the B2B SaaS Product & Tech Domain.
  • Technical Tools:
  • Security: Splunk, Kali Linux, Wireshark, Tenable Nessus, Metasploit Framework
  • Data: SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL), Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, Tableau, Power BI
  • Monitoring: Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), New Relic
  • Cloud: AWS (Amazon Web Services), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Docker, Kubernetes
