Job Description

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Program Manager to lead and oversee our DataOps operations for Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) and Text-to-Speech (TTS) speech data collection projects. This role will focus on capacity planning, budget management, delivery timelines, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful project execution. You will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to deliver high-quality datasets for ASR and TTS systems, driving innovation in the speech technology domain.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Planning & Execution

• Project Roadmap: Define and manage the project roadmap for ASR and TTS data collection initiatives.
• Capacity Planning: Assess and allocate resources, optimize team capacity, and plan for scalability to meet project demands.
• Delivery Timelines: Establish and manage daily, weekly, and monthly delivery schedules to ensure timely completion of milestone.

Budget Management

• Cost Planning: Develop and oversee project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to financial goals.
• Vendor Cost Management: Collaborate with vendors to negotiate pricing, monitor expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, data science, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration of datasets into machine learning pipelines.
• Vendor Management: Onboard, manage, and evaluate vendors for speech data collection and annotation, ensuring quality and adherence to SLAs.

Data Collection & Quality Assurance.

• DataOps Oversight: Drive large-scale data collection efforts for ASR and TTS systems, ensuring linguistic and acoustic diversity.
• Quality Assurance: Implement processes to validate data quality and ensure adherence to project standards.

Reporting & Communication

• Status Reporting: Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and metrics to stakeholders.
• Issue Resolution: Identify project risks and bottlenecks, implementing solutions to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Experience & Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management, Linguistics, Computer Science or 5+ years of experience in program/project management within AI/ML, DataOps, or Large Scale Language Services Companies.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of ASR, TTS, and speech data collection workflows.
• Familiarity with data management and annotation tools.
• Proficiency in capacity planning and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana, Trello).

Soft Skills:

• Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate across teams and with external vendors.
