Your Role

You will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure developed software runs smoothly and meets product and content needs. In this role, you will be associated with designing and implementing exploratory tests and test wares, inspecting product content-related assets, debugging and defining corrective actions. A major part will be to develop the processes and the methods to create a high-quality product focusing on the aspects connected with user satisfaction, quality and usability.

You are a product-focused person with a technical mindset, with 2+ years of experience in software testing, technology, collaboration, and documentation.

Tasks amp; Responsibilities

Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
 

• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet product needs.
• Identify, record and document bugs thoroughly and track them.
• Monitor debugging process results.
• Timely inspection of software-content assets at different phases of development to ensure they meet a set of consistent standards.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers, product managers and content creators/providers) to identify system requirements.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of new testing tools and test strategies.
   

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks and resources, communicate effectively with the members of the team

Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborates with managers and co-workers, identifies deadlines, carries out tasks, communicates progress and information, determines and recommends ways to address improvement opportunities and adapts to learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.

Education amp; Competencies

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a QA Specialist/Engineer.
• Experience in proofreading, consulting, implementation, or training roles.
• Functional knowledge of testing methodologies (Unit, Load, Functional, Smoke, Regression etc…)
• Able to multi-task and execute in short and/or compressed timelines
• An eye on continuous improvement and attention to detail.
• A willingness to continue to develop and foster product pipelines.
• Can partner with and collaborate with others when necessary.
• Knowledge of software testing associated tools such as JMeter, Charles, JIRA, Confluence etc.
• Leadership and problem-solving acumen.
• Excellent fluency in English amp; Hindi (both written and verbal).
• Knowledge of vernacular languages will be an added advantage.
