What You'll Do
Avalara has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Salesforce Developer to join our Sales Cloud team.  Here you'll find unique challenges and a collaborative team environment so that you can be challenged and engaged from day one.  The Sales Cloud team supports the Lead to Sale business teams which primarily includes Marketing, Sales Development, Sales, and Partners.  We work along side the Service Desk, Architecture and Release teams, along with our teams who support the other primary Salesforce Clouds: Service, Experience, and CPQ.  Come join a wonderful team where you can learn, grow, and produce

Here are your primary day-to-day job duties:

• Ask questions and suggests alternative solutions in backlog refinement
• Actions the development of stories within one day of assignment
• Raises blockers in standup within one day of identifying issues that are preventing the story from moving forward
• Contributes to Peer Review and QA Reviews in a comprehensive and thoughtful way
• Follows the software development lifecycle and best practices
• Produces solutions that meet or exceed the requirements in the expected time frame
• Limits the release of bugs or errors
• Participates in scrum ceremonies and contributes to collaborative team environment
• Keeps current with Salesforce releases and new functionality
• Uses standard or declarative solutions before custom solutions whenever possible
• Produces utilities or reusable solutions whenever possible
• Acts as mentor and guide for junior admins and developers

What You'll Need to be Successful

• 4-7 years experience developing in Salesforce and support various managed packages or custom builds
• Experience in an enterprise environment supporting various integrations like Eloqua, ChiliPiper, Distribution Engine, and LeanData
• Expertise in managing governor limits
• Demonstrated proficiency building, debuging, and maintaining custom apis, apex, batch jobs, and flows
• Bachelors degrees in computer science or similar experience
• Admin and Developer Certifications including Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer 1 and 2, and Sales Cloud Consultant
• Experience working with business systems analysts, architects, and Technical Program Managers
• Experience working on an agile team with 2-week sprint cycles
• Preferable experience:
  • using GitLab or GitHub and VisualStudioCode
  • using Lightning Web Components & Aura Components
