About The Team
The Enterprise Applications team at Rubrik enables business processes, employee experience, and technologies to scale our organization to $1B+. This team is responsible for all the enterprise applications used at Rubrik and the relevant business processes (Lead to Opportunity, Quote to Cash, Hire to Retire, Customer Support, Legal, & Facilities). The IT team caters to accelerated enhancement of business value and multiple day-to-day business processes through our varied SaaS applications like Salesforce.com, Oracle NetSuite, Workday, Coupa, Chromeriver, Snowflake, Etrade, Jitterbit, Allocadia, etc.

About The Role
Rubrik is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Salesforce System Architect to design, implement, and optimize our Salesforce platform to meet business objectives. The Salesforce System Architect will be responsible for crafting scalable and innovative Salesforce solutions while ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide technology and business strategies. This role demands deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across various business functions.

What You'll Do

Architecture & Design

  • Design and document scalable, maintainable, and secure Salesforce solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Establish architectural best practices and standards for Salesforce application design, integration, and data management.
  • Lead the evaluation and selection of Salesforce technologies, including AppExchange products and external tools, to enhance business processes.

Development & Implementation

  • Provide technical leadership to developers, administrators, and consultants for complex Salesforce projects, ensuring adherence to technical standards and architecture.
  • Lead system integration efforts, including APIs, middleware, and ETL tools, with Salesforce and other enterprise systems.
  • Oversee end-to-end Salesforce implementation lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment.

Strategy & Collaboration

  • Partner with business leaders, business analysts and IT teams to understand requirements, translating them into Salesforce solutions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, and IT team members guiding them on leveraging Salesforce to achieve business outcomes.
  • Ensure solutions are aligned with enterprise architecture principles, long-term IT strategies, and compliance standards.

Optimization & Maintenance

  • Monitor and optimize Salesforce system performance, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Conduct regular assessments to identify technical debt and drive remediation efforts.
  • Manage ongoing platform enhancements and ensure seamless delivery of system updates and upgrades.

Governance & Compliance

  • Define and enforce governance processes, including security protocols, data privacy regulations, and SOX compliance.
  • Ensure alignment with Salesforce licensing and contract agreements.

Experience You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience with Salesforce, including hands-on development and architecture experience.
  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce capabilities: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and integrations.
  • Extensive experience with Salesforce tools such as Lightning Experience, Apex, Visualforce, SOQL, Flows, and LWC.
  • Proven expertise in designing and integrating Salesforce with external systems (ERP, HR, or custom-built applications).
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Copado or Gearset.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA), Application Architect, or System Architect preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools like MuleSoft, Informatica, or Dell Boomi.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
