About the Role
As a Technical Product Manager at ThreatModeler, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of cybersecurity by driving the development and enhancement of our industry-leading threat modeling platform. You will be responsible for defining and managing the product backlog, collaborating with stakeholders, and translating business goals into actionable technical solutions. Success in this role means delivering high-value features in an agile environment while ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility. This position is crucial to our mission of empowering organizations to proactively secure their systems from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Product Backlog Management – Define, prioritize, and maintain user stories and technical requirements to align with business goals and development capacity.
- Stakeholder Communication – Work closely with engineering, sales, and customers to gather requirements, refine the product vision, and ensure technical feasibility.
- Technical Requirements & Feasibility – Translate business objectives into actionable development tasks, ensuring alignment with APIs, cloud platforms, and DevSecOps practices.
- Agile Development Leadership – Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives, ensuring timely delivery of high-value features.
- Risk & Performance Analysis – Identify technical risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks, collaborating with engineers to optimize system performance and scalability.
- Lifecycle Management – Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from market research and prototyping to testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
- Industry Research – Stay up to date on emerging cybersecurity trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes to maintain product differentiation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (preferably Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field).
- Experience: 3+ years in technical product management or product ownership within a B2B SaaS software development environment.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban), APIs, cloud platforms, or DevSecOps.
- Analytics: Ability to leverage product analytics tools to track user behavior insights, and key metrics to drive data-informed roadmap decisions.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical ability to break down complex technical challenges, find scalable solutions.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to navigate complex technical challenges and optimize product performance.
- Project Management Tools: Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and other collaboration platforms.
- Communication Skills: Excellent ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- User-Centric Approach: Strong empathy for end users with a passion for delivering exceptional product experiences.
