What’s the opportunity?
You will play a key role in developing and maintaining high-quality documentation that helps our customers and internal teams understand and effectively use our software products. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and customer support teams to gather the necessary information and translate complex technical concepts into accessible content.
What you'll do:
- Develop Comprehensive Documentation: Create and maintain product documentation, including user guides, API documentation, release notes, FAQs, and technical articles.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with product managers, engineers, and customer support teams to understand product features and functionality, ensuring accuracy and clarity in all documentation.
- Simplify Complex Information: Break down complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand content that meets the needs of both technical and non-technical users.
- Maintain Consistency and Quality: Ensure all documentation adheres to the company’s style guide and quality standards. Regularly update documentation to reflect product changes and improvements.
- User-Focused Content Creation: Write content that helps users troubleshoot issues, understand product capabilities, and maximize the value they get from our software.
- Content Management: Organize and manage documentation in a way that is easily accessible and user-friendly. Utilize tools and platforms for effective content management and version control.
- Contribute to Knowledge Base: Assist in developing and maintaining a knowledge base of best practices, tutorials, and support documentation.
What are we looking for?
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of software development processes, APIs, and cloud technologies. Familiarity with documentation tools such as Markdown, JIRA, Confluence, and Git.
- Writing Skills: Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Attention to Detail: Strong editing and proofreading skills with a focus on accuracy and consistency.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with a proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving.
