Role: An assistant manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of projects within and outside the organisation. This position requires excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills to facilitate on-ground coordination among various stakeholders, manage project timelines, and track progress towards goals. The candidate will serve as a central point of contact for project teams and assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating project activities related to sustainability.
Job Description & Responsibilities
● Collaborate with project managers and team members to develop an engagement program including objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements related to sustainability.
● Research and data analysis on environmental-related topics, rules, regulations, policies, data collection, and impact metrics for various sustainability-related projects.
● Facilitate communication among project stakeholders, including team members, clients, vendors, and management. Develop and review communication material and reports.
● On-ground coordination, implementing, and driving behavioral initiatives for institutes and corporations. Foster positive relationships with project stakeholders by providing excellent customer service and addressing their concerns or inquiries promptly.
● Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project success and work with the project team to develop mitigation strategies.
● Identifying vendors that are committed to furthering green initiatives.
Aspiring individuals should have the following skills:
● Analytical skills: strong analytical skills to evaluate the relevant data and performance of various initiatives and conduct research on changes to environmental regulatory procedures.
● Communication skills: strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate the project progression and create and review project status reports for the internal and external stakeholders.
● Problem-solving skills: Ability to plan, implement, organize, travel, and conduct on-ground activities within or outside the city. Candidates should understand how to identify and remedy problems by finding creative solutions.
● Strong hold on making presentations and reports and presenting the same.
Qualifications:
● We are looking for a confident and patient individual with a good command of the English Language & formal communications
● Master's degree in any field (preferably in Environmental science, environmental engineering, Earth science, Sustainability business management, environmental economics, etc.)
● Experience: 2 years and above (Prior experience in organising, conducting and implementing on-ground projects is preferred.)
