The Opportunity
Nutanix is disrupting the multi-billion dollar cloud infrastructure market by pioneering the first hybrid cloud platform that can incrementally scale out to manage petabytes of data while running tens of thousands of virtual machines. This brings about exciting new challenges in building a cloud-scale distributed control plane that can serve a multitude of applications.

You will work on the new licensing and features consumption service that will determine when and how Nutanix users will use our software and services. This core feature will be a core service to be consumed by other Nutanix features as well as consumers.

About The Team
At Nutanix, you would be joining the Licensing team, consisting of 15 individuals distributed across the United States and India. You will report to the Senior Technical Director, Saas Engineering, who leads with expertise, guidance, and a strong focus on professional development. As part of our hybrid work setup, you will be required to work in the office 2-3 days per week, allowing for a balance between in-person collaboration and remote flexibility. While office attendance is encouraged for team synergy and project alignment, we understand the importance of a flexible work environment.

There are no travel requirements for this position, allowing you to focus on delivering impactful contributions while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Your Role

• Design and develop reliable, scalable, efficient, high-performance control plane software for large-scale enterprise and hybrid cloud.
• Design and develop features for the Nutanix manageability platform that interacts with Nutanix Core Services.
• Design and Implement a cloud-scale API platform that makes it easy for developers to build, publish, execute, and manage API's at the cloud scale.
• Contribute to the development of licensing web applications.
• Create effective unit and integration tests.
• Ability to write scripts and tools for development and debugging.

What You Will Bring

• Good knowledge of data structures and algorithms
• Solid understanding of core Javascript concepts
• Good understanding of open-source frameworks and libraries
• Expertise in developing RESTful API's in NodeJS
• Experience working with databases and distributed systems
• Experience working in a Linux environment
• Knowledge of virtualization (VMWare, KVM, or Hyper-V) and Cloud Infrastructure
• Experience in developing web-based user interfaces using Javascript and ReactJS
• Exposure to server-side programming in NodeJS and ExpressJS
• Bachelor or Master in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of industry experience
