The Opportunity

We are looking for engineers who are passionate about working on scalable distributed systems. You will be part of the Nutanix Cassandra team, which owns the metadata part of the Nutanix Storage Virtualization.

Nutanix Clusters provides a single platform that can span private and public clouds but operates as a single cloud using a single control plane enabling true hybrid cloud architecture. Nutanix cluster provides the resource virtualization to manage your resources efficiently with high availability and recoverability at scale. The Nutanix Cassandra team is a part of the storage virtualization layer of the Nutanix cluster.

Your Role

• Design and develop cloud native software services and infrastructure for a converged computing and storage platform on the cloud.
• Develop a deep understanding of complex distributed systems, design innovative solutions for customer requirements while working on performance, scale and resiliency of distributed applications.
• Work closely with development, test and product management teams to deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.
• Engage with customers and support when needed to solve production issues.

What You Will Bring

• Experience-in designing, building and supporting large scale distributed systems software and fault-tolerant services.
• Excellent understanding of low level operating systems concepts including multi-threading, concurrency, memory management, networking and storage, performance and scale.
• Strong systems programming skills
• Strong CS fundamentals include high performance data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• Love of programming and rock-solid in one or more languages: C++, Java, ideally for enterprise-quality software.
• Experience with Linux OS internals, networking internals, software-defined networking technologies.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science
• Experience : 4 to 6 years.
