Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a passion for ensuring high-quality software products to provide best-in class user experience for our customer.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual testing of web applications/products to identify and document software defects.
- Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test cases and test plans based on requirements and design documents.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and technical specifications.
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and usability testing.
- Track and manage defects using bug tracking tools and work closely with developers for timely resolution.
- Ensure that software meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability, and performance.
- Participate in design and requirement reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
- Perform API testing and validate database operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven 3+ years of experience as a Manual QA Engineer or similar role.
- Familiarity with agile frameworks and regression testing.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Proficiency in bug tracking and test management tools (e., JIRA, TestRail).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of automation testing tools and basic scripting skills.
- Strong knowledge of API testing methodologies and tools (e., Postman, SoapUI).
- Experience with database testing and SQL queries.
- Familiarity with performance and security testing would be a plus.
