About us

Zenskar is building a new-age billing and pricing infrastructure for SaaS companies. As SaaS pricing evolves from vanilla subscription-based models to more granular usage-based models, billing and pricing infrastructure needs to be completely reimagined.

Zenskar was founded by Apurv Bansal & Saurabh Agrawal, who sold their previous startups to Snapdeal and Gaana respectively. They have experience at organizations such as Google, Basepair, Elevation Capital, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, and Harvard Business School. We are funded by marquee global investors, including Bessemer Venture Partners.

They are building their founding team, and are looking for folks who can optimize for quick iteration, and fast deployment and have a great developer experience. Ideally, you are excited about learning and meaningfully shaping the trajectory of an early-stage startup from Day 0 in its journey.

What you can expect

  • Ownership and autonomy: As a founding team member, you have immense responsibility. You own and drive the execution.

Learning

  • You will work on challenging problems and cutting-edge technologies, ship (a lot!), and engage in some of the most meaningful work of your life.
  • On the backend side, we are building high throughput, high-scale data pipes to deal with the usage data of companies of any size.
  • On the front-end side, we are building low-code interfaces for various parts of the billing stack to let companies design the best tools for themselves.
  • You will have to think about all the people and systems that interact with the finance stack of a company, modularize the different parts of the stack well and build the correct abstractions. This includes systems like the CPQ (Configure-Price-Quote) that Salespeople interact with, the metering system that Developers manage, and the Billing, Payments, and Accounting systems that Finance manages.

We are looking for a Product Marketing Generalist to lead and execute Zenskar's marketing goals. To the extent that you have bandwidth, we would love for you to get involved with content marketing as well, in addition to product marketing.

As the second member of our product marketing team, you'll need to possess a strong drive, take ownership of your work, and have an insatiable desire to take action and make things happen 

You will partner with our product, sales, and design teams to build, launch, and drive the adoption of Zenskar. You will also have the opportunity to help us build out the marketing foundation at Zenskar - from developing messaging and positioning to telling our customers’ stories, architecting campaigns, building out enablement resources, and more.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping our brand's voice and message and ensuring that our marketing efforts are engaging and relevant to our target audience. You will be required to:

Role:  Product Marketing Generalist ( Founding Member)

  • Create content to convey the benefits of our products to various audiences in formats like product explainer videos, custom feature demo videos, website, and product updates, keeping in mind our ICP and buyer persona.
  • Support the go-to-market plan with relevant product content creation and optimize for metrics like revenue, win rates, product launch metrics (trials/demos, content views, website traffic), adoption metrics, etc.
  • Work closely with the sales team to develop impactful enablement resources, arm the sales team to better position us against competitors, and help move prospects & customers through the sales cycle.
  • Help drive deeper engagement with our product through a variety of educational content—blog posts, product tips, best practice guides, product demo videos, and more.
  • Develop product messaging and positioning that sets us apart from competitors and demonstrates an understanding of our customers’ needs.
  • Explore and experiment to launch campaigns that span the web, community, social, email, ads, and other marketing channels.
  • Write content to educate internal and external stakeholders on product features and benefits.

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in product marketing in B2B SaaS.
  • Experience creating and recording video content covering technical product features.
  • Passion for learning new products and industries - excited to dive into the nitty-gritty technical details.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and performance/metrics-driven thinking without missing creativity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, meaning you avoid enterprise jargon, can adapt to the brand voice, and write with the customer in mind.
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and have a data-driven approach to your work.
  • Experience leading and driving cross-functional initiatives, and also working independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and add value immediately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with extremely good follow-up skills, self-driven, and proactive.
  • Self-driven individual with high ownership and a strong work ethic.
  • Previous entrepreneurial experience is a huge plus.
  • Not taking yourself too seriously
