At least 8 years of technical management experience and a background in Data Engineering with experience managing global remote teams
BE or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field
Deep understanding of data modeling, SQL, data warehouses / data lake and data engineering skills, and a passion to share that with a team
5-10 years of software design and development experience. As a former engineer, you can hold your own in technical conversations, and design discussions.
Ability to provide technical leadership throughout the design and delivery process, bringing perspective and motivating engineers to develop simple, pragmatic solutions to complex problems
Knowledge of software and data engineering best practices including testing, quality, and security
Passion for developing early career talent who will become the next leaders in the organization, enabling the individuals and the team to work with autonomy
Extensive background and demonstrated track record in building end user-facing analytical models in SQL
Hands-on SQL experience in aspects of data engineering and operations, including data ingestion, delivery, and operations.
Help define the strategy and standards for analytical engineering
Experience defining testing and data quality programs l
Expertise in query building and data modeling to ensure data is made available in a timely, efficient, and comprehendible means
Experience with tools such as Python, Airflow, Data Lakes, Terraform, APM tooling and BI tooling – (e.g Tableau, PowerBI).
Develop/source tools and processes to improve software engineering productivity.
Strong Python experience, REST APIs, MySQL
Strong, proven mentorship skills demonstrate the ability to motivate, develop, and guide Data Engineers.
Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience with AWS and Snowflake is required.
Recruiting industry experience, such as working experiences with Taleo, Workday, SuccessFactors is a plus
