Essential Functions

• Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, O365 systems, Servers and Storage, Virtualization and cloud infrastructure.
• Planning, design, documentation, Implementation, troubleshoot and maintenance of business systems, including servers, operating systems, servers and storage, virtualization and hosted environments.
• Escalation resource within the administrator or helpdesk teams and coordinate with Manager on department workflow. Knowledge on infrastructural architectural concepts.
• Oversee daily system monitoring: Verify the integrity and availability of all server resources, systems and key processes such as scheduled backup jobs and patching.
• Proactively monitor system performance to provide capacity planning and optimization recommendations.
• Participate in scheduled IT maintenance activities and coordination and execution of assigned tasks and maintenance activities
• Provide input and recommendations on new potential technology solutions based on research and analysis
• Work with cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance.
• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned 

Skills needed to be successful

• Advanced troubleshooting workflow and knowledge of troubleshooting tools. Ability to solve problems with a consistent, measured approach.
• Must be able to do multi-task and maintain positive attitude when working under pressure
• Proficient on writing scripts (PowerShell, VBScripts, Batch Scripts)
• Strong knowledge of Windows Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, O365 administration and configuration

• Managing server virtualization technologies like VMWare Server/ESX or Microsoft Hyper-V/Virtua server.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts and Firewall security, including iSCSI configuration, SAN setup and disk performance management.
• Good working knowledge of Azure

• Knowledge on infrastructural architectural concepts
• Working knowledge on Enterprise Backup Solutions. 

Required Experience & Education 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information systems or related field or other equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 5-7+ years of experience in systems administration.
• 5+ years’ experience with supporting and troubleshooting VMWare and Microsoft Azure.
• Experience in infrastructure architecture, data centers, servers.
• Strong understanding of multiple technologies, including but not limited to, Server hardware & Server OS, Virtualization, VMWare, Hyper-Converged Infrastructure, Office365.

 Preferred Experience & Education

• 5+ years’ experience with VMWare Administration and Microsoft Azure.
• Hands on experience on HP & Dell Servers and storage box.
• System administration and IT certifications in Microsoft, VMware, ITIL or other related fields is a Plus.

Education

• Bachelors or better.
