Products, R&D and Production business function is responsible for ensuring that Basware continues to provide its customers with industry leading SaaS solutions to simplify operations and spend smarter. This global function creates and executes the product strategy, new product innovations, roadmap, design, product development and product launches for Basware’s global product portfolio. Together with other Basware units, Products, R&D and Production ensures that our customers can successfully meet their business objectives through cooperating with Basware and using our product and service portfolio.

You will work in a dynamic team of highly skilled people whose main concern is the improving the quality of the infrastructure the applications and services are being hosted on.

We are now looking for Senior System Specialist to join our team.

Key role responsibilities (“Your Contribution”)

• Cloud Infrastructure Management: manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of VPN and network solutions.
• VPN Solutions Design and Deployment: implement and maintain site-to-site VPN solutions.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Continuously monitor the performance and health of AWS network infrastructure, including VPN connectivity and Sophos security appliances. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in a timely manner.
• Documentation & Best Practices: Create and maintain detailed documentation for network architecture, VPN setups, security configurations, and best practices. Ensure knowledge sharing with other team members and stakeholders.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering teams (DevOps, Security, and IT) to ensure seamless integration of VPN and network security solutions with other cloud and on-premise systems.
• Compliance & Security Standards: Ensure compliance with internal and external security standards, policies, and industry best practices. Implement and monitor logging and alerting systems to maintain a secure network environment.

Skills & Requirements

Candidate qualifications (“Mutual interest”)

We would enjoy working with a professional, who possesses

• Minimum 3 year of hands-on experience working with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS.
• At least 2 year of experience with VPN solution design, deployment, and troubleshooting in cloud environments

Technical Expertise:

• Deep knowledge of AWS networking services such as VPC, EC2, VPN, IAM, CloudWatch and S3.
• Expertise in deploying, configuring, and managing VPNs (site-to-site, client-to-site) in AWS environments.
• Experience with Sophos UTM or Sophos Cloud solutions is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, etc.) and network security principles.

Security Skills:

• In-depth understanding of cloud security best practices, including encryption, identity and access management (IAM), and secure communications.

Problem Solving & Troubleshooting:

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network and security issues in AWS environments.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and protocols (CloudWatch, SNMP, NetFlow, etc.).

Communication:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to clearly document complex network architectures and security configurations.
