Role responsibilities  

• Work with the design and architecture of new and existing product integrations, working closely with Product Management, Business Analysts and the Delivery team.
• Undertake interface development and design requests as required utilising modern programming techniques and best practise
• Highlighting where a development task requested presents a design compromise or possible future problem
• Considering the operational, deployment and support impacts of any design decisions made across a broad spectrum of 3rd Party Connections
• Taking part in daily scrum meetings to ensure the team leader/scrum master can manage the development projects, and reporting on the product plan
• Participating in the monthly meetings (part of the company communications policy) to ensure end-to-end communication is maintained throughout the company
• Assisting the testing team in their endeavours when questions arise, undertaking rework activities when directed to do so by the development team leader
• Assisting the support team when questions arise

Experience required

• 3-5 years of relevant experience as a software engineer
• Strong expertise with the following languages and frameworks
  • .NET Framework, C#
  • SQL Server, T-SQL
  • XSLT
  • NET, WCF, Web Api
  • HTML, CSS
  • AngularJS
  • Entity Framework
  • MS Test, Microsoft Fakes
• In-depth background in HL7 and the integration of disparate healthcare solutions
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming
• Background in delivering solutions / product from concept to release
• Strong understanding of Agile development practices and scrums
• Experience of working within a test-driven development (TDD) environment
• Experience of working with a ALM tool like Azure DevOps
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the confidence to make and stand by decisions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to recognise your audience’s technical understanding and level, and adapt accordingly
