Work as part of a fast-paced and challenging customer-facing development team
Manage Jenkins CI - keeping up-to-date with security patches; performing backups; installing and updating core software and plugins; configuring build servers and managing configuration.
Manage and troubleshoot issues with development environments on Windows and Linux operating systems. This includes installing software, configuring the OS, investigating issues, performing backups and pro-actively tuning to avoid issues such as log files filling up disk space.
Manage and troubleshoot SQL Server and Oracle database instances.
Manage source code control (git, Subversion and others) and administer GitHub.
Configure builds to post artifacts to jFrog repositories
Build automated testing and test management tools and scripts (Fitnesse, Tryon Cycle, Azure DevOps).
Balance tasks across multiple DevOps projects as well as monitoring support request queue.
Identifies, recommends, and implements development process improvements.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Master of Computer Application (MCA).
Highly confident with Windows, Linux, Unix operating systems including application installation, command line and scripting.
Highly confident managing, configuring, and operating Jenkins CI software, including creating build pipelines from scratch.
Minimum 2 years’ experience developing scripts in languages like python, bash, Windows batch/Powershell.
Experience using automation tools such as Ansible, puppet, chef, including writing automation scripts/playbooks.
Knowledge of build tools, such as ant, Gradle, maven, MSBuild.
Familiarity with static code analysis.
Experience using, managing and installing source code control systems (git, Subversion, CVS), especially GitHub.
Strong knowledge of software best practices, build processes, and using IDEs
Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools.
Ability to read and understand log files, identifying issues and potential causes for build failures.
Ability to work in an Agile development environment.
