At Flexera, we're on a mission to empower global enterprises by transforming IT insights into decisive actions. We're seeking a talented Staff Software Development Engineer to play a key role in making this vision a reality.

You will join the IT Visibility Team within Flexera, and our responsibility is to federate customer data so customers can visualize the entirety of their IT estate with enriched data and actionable insights. We are developing with some of the most modern technologies, including distributed graph databases and data lakes, Go, and Amazon Web Services.

What you'll do:

• Help lead a team performing software engineering activities including new feature design & development, maintenance and support.
• Understand and contribute to our ambitious technical roadmap for IT Visibility
• Propose new, innovative solutions to provide Flexera’s users with a rich, intuitive, and responsive experience Demonstrate your passion and skill in the design and construction of robust, scalable services and secure applications.
• Adopt and refine SCM and DevOps processes to facilitate agile development.
• Work within CD/CI environments to push code to production.
• Support the team’s culture of respect, excellence, and trust; confidently promote our team’s principles and culture across the organization.
• Become familiar with all aspects of the Flexera IT Visibility product and be willing to contribute on any component.
• Guide and mentor, the team in terms of code quality, design patterns, general technical knowledge
• Ensure we employ fantastic testing and QA processes to minimize the risk of escaped defects.

You'll be expected to have:

• 10 years professional experience as a software engineer, with a minimum of 2 years professional Golang and microservices development experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a discipline such as Software Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
• Demonstrable professional experience with Golang
• A proven and respected engineer with experience in the delivery of successful applications at scale
• Experience of Unit Testing and Test-Driven Development
• Comfortable with modern SCM for various types of development life cycle
• Professional experience designing and working with containerization and microservices architecture in high throughput applications.
• Sound understanding of cloud computing principles including security, high-availability, and automation.
• AWS experience, particularly EKS, Amazon Athena and S3, CloudWatch and supporting services.
• Deep understanding of Service Oriented Architecture and SOA integrations such REST.

• GoaFramework
• gRPC Protocol
• GraphQL
• Kubernetes, Helm and Docker
• AWS (Athena, Glue, S3, EKS, IAM & Cloudwatch)
• Postgres
• Terraform
